The near by Formby Nature Reserve where Red Squirrels can be seen, leads you on to Formby beach and Sand Hills.

The city of Liverpool (European Capital of Culture 2008) is around 14 miles away and has many historic buildings, maritime mueseums, the Beatles tour, excellent bars and restaurants.

We are next to the Leeds to Liverpool Canal and the Rufford Branch off the main Canal. Walking and fishing are very popular here.
